Lee Rowley MSc, BSc(Hons), CBCI, CMI
Resilience Lead
Lee completed 15 years in the Fire Service before moving into Corporate Resilience. He has previously served operationally with both the RNLI and the Ambulance Service and has frontline experience of both hands-on, and command across a wide breadth of incidents. He has considerable experience in the aviation sector and has fulfilled a variety of roles in a number of multi-agency responses. Lee is qualified in teaching for adult education, a qualified assessor and has a Diploma in Leadership and Management. He is currently furthering his academic interests and pursuing a PhD alongside his professional role. Lee was awarded the Fire Service Commendation Medal whilst serving as a Fire Fighter.
Roger Kember MA (Dist), BSc (Hons), MBCI
Roger is an exceptionally experienced consultant with almost 40 years’ service within the UKs largest police service. During that time Roger has managed police liaison with the Cabinet Office Briefing Room (COBR) and been a tactical commander at events ranging from riots to Royal Ceremonial occasions. Since leaving the police Roger has become an experienced consultant facilitator, presenter and exercise director specialising in crisis management, leadership and business continuity within the financial, pharmaceutical, engineering, retail, oil and gas sectors in both the UK and Europe.
Ken Priest MIFireE
Ken is a fire risk assessment and training consultant following 32-years experience gained in a geographically diverse local authority fire service in the Midlands. During his service Ken introduced formal incident command simulation and hazardous materials training. He has devised and participated in multi-agency response and management exercises for COMAH and high risk industry sites. During his public service Ken was Chair of the Test and Exercise Group of the Local Resilience Forum. Since leaving the fire service Ken has worked as a consultant for the oil, gas and chemical sectors in the Middle East, UAE and north-east Africa.
Chris Blades BSc, CFIOSH, CMILT, MCMI, SBCI
Chris has worked in a variety of business sectors from the nuclear industry through to local authorities, via, petrochemicals, finance, food manufacturing, air freight, engineering, power generation and logistics. His diverse but focused background as a safety and environmental auditor as well as in supply chain management provides Chris with the experience and ability to consult on emergency planning, incident response and business continuity.
Steve Mcnamara RAF
Steve has a deep understanding of operational, tactical and strategic management gained during a full career in the UK Armed Forces. He has flown and commanded operational missions worldwide as well as planning and exercising at all command levels within the MOD and NATO. Steve has worked with companies in the UK, Europe, USA, Middle East, Africa and Asia and as an emergency and crisis management consultant has extensive experience of training, exercise design and delivery across a broad spectrum of sectors, including oil, gas, manufacturing, leisure and financial. He is a qualified OPITO assessor, Prince 2 Practitioner and FEMA Incident Command Structure 300/400 trained.
Amanda Wright MSc, BA, MEPS
Amanda is a Resilience Consultant with five years’ experience in the development, delivery and project management of a range of projects across emergency planning, incident management training and exercising, business continuity and flood risk consultancy. MSc qualified in Risk, Crisis and Disaster Management with experience in both public and private sectors. Crisis communication is an area of particular interest, having researched the use of social media in flood risk communication for MSc dissertation.
Nick Sydenham BSc (Econ, MBCI)
Nick is an experienced business continuity consultant with over 16 years’ experience of delivering business continuity programmes and crisis management exercises to government departments and agencies as well as the oil, gas, finance, media and transport sectors in the UK and Europe. With a background in IT and thorough working knowledge of ISO 22301 Nick delivers a sound business continuity solution.
Peter Winn BA, AEPS, ICPEM
Peter is an emergency management consultant with over 30 years’ experience in the RAF providing extensive knowledge and management capability of large scale tank farms, bulk fuels, pipeline operations, fuel spill response, pollution control and search and rescue. Peter has attended high profile air disasters as a responder and has worked with air, land and sea statutory bodies during major incidents. Working as a consultant in the UK, Africa, Middle and Far East, Asia, former soviet states and the US, Peter has a unique portfolio of experience in the oil, gas and chemical sectors and is OPITO qualified and FEMA ICS 100 and 200 trained.
Linda Penman MBCI
Linda has extensive operational and management experience gained in the financial sector, specialising in business continuity. As a Business Continuity Institute approved facilitator, Linda provides industry standard training on all aspects of business continuity, from initial impact assessment through to plan writing and exercising. She combines this with crisis management training in the retail, financial, media, local government and leisure sectors.
